Welcome to Daily Nutrition Tracker. By accessing or using our web application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our application.

2. Description of Service

Daily Nutrition Tracker is a client-side web application designed to help users track their daily food intake, understand their nutritional needs, and achieve their health goals. Our application leverages the USDA FoodData Central API and provides a personalized approach to nutrition management.

The application stores all user data locally on the user's device using IndexedDB, with an optional feature to back up data to Google Drive if the user chooses to enable this functionality.

3. User Accounts and Registration

Daily Nutrition Tracker does not require traditional account registration as all data is stored locally on your device. However, if you choose to use our Google Drive sync feature, you will need to authorize our application to access your Google Drive through Google's OAuth process.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account when using the Google Drive sync feature.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Daily Nutrition Tracker, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when setting up your profile
• Use the application for lawful purposes only
• Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the application or its servers
• Not attempt to access data that is not intended for you
• Not use the application to impersonate any person or entity

5. Intellectual Property

The application, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Daily Nutrition Tracker and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our application, except as automatically occurs during normal use of the application.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

Our application may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including but not limited to the USDA FoodData Central API and Google services. These third-party services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services that you interact with through our application.

Daily Nutrition Tracker is not a medical application and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The information provided by the application is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the application or any features or portions thereof without prior notice. You agree that we will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the application or any part thereof.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the application following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
